woman
This symbol was found on a rock painting, or petroglyph. She comes
from Ireland and is so old that her origins are unclear. Her meaning
is also uncertain. Some believe she was a goddess figure. Others
feel, because she has a male counterpart, that she represents a
mortal woman. Whatever her beginnings, this ancient symbol speaks
to us of the ageless power of the feminine in the world and the
mysteries of the void at the center of creation.
