The sliding knots
we use to allow our necklaces to be adjustable are related to the
hangmn's noose. If the knots on your necklace should come untied
and you'd like to try re-tieing them your self here are the intructions:
Step 1. cross the two free ends of
your cord (don't forget your pendant!).
Step 2. fold about 5 inches of one
end back on itself to form a bend. when you do this both loose ends
of the cord will be pointing in the same direction.
Step 3. pinch the bend together against
the "other" cord. A finger width is usually a good spacing.
Step 4. wrap the free end of the bend
tightly around all "three" cords three or four times. you will be
wrapping towards the bend.
Step 5. push the free end of the wrapped
cord through the loop you have just made by wrapping the bend.
Step 6. tighten the knot by pulling
the back end of the looped cord that is coming out of the middle
of the knot (this will be the one with your pendant on it rather
than the loose end.)
To tie the second knot just repeat steps 2 thru 6 with the loose
end. When tightening the second knot's loop watch the bend as you're
pulling if it tightens you have the right cord if the whole knot
slides pull the other one.
Now, if you just aren't a knot tieing soul never fear! You are welcome
to mail your pendant back to us and we will happily re-tie your
cord. Just send it to us at:
