Having a largely web based
business makes it difficult for many of our customers to get to know us,
so we would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about
ourselves.
Ben and Janet Crenshaw live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia
where The Enchanted Glyph is overseen by Porthos the dog and Nami
& Koji the cats who have entirely too many opinions about how
the operation should be run.
Already a successful illustrator and graphic designer Ben turned
his talents to jewelry making in 1991. This medium proved to be
an excellent addition to the skills through which he shares his
artistic gift.
A childhood love of mythology and early exposure to Shakespeare
developed into Janet's fascination with history, story telling,
art, and theater. Since 1983 renaissance festivals have been a favorite
outlet for her creative talents.
Simply put, when you are looking at our website you are seeing Ben's work, when you are reading our website you are seeing Janet's work.
Our love of knotwork, mythology, and historical design can be seen in every piece of art, wearable or otherwise, that we create.
We welcome your correspondence. If you have any questions, problems, or
comments do not hesitate to contact us.
