My art explores pattern and design through the decorative motif known as knotwork. I'm attempting to discover why we respond to the subtle nuances in line, color, and form the way we do.
This current exhibition of knotwork is the culmination of years of exploration into the knotwork genre. Past works were reproduced as album covers and graphics or in my line of knotwork jewelry sold as The Enchanted Glyph. I currently work as a graphic arts professional and game designer.
My influences were Roger Dean, MC Escher, George Bain, and Brian Froud. I consider myself a student of History and Mythology.
I grew up in the Washington DC metro area. I am a graduate of the California College of the Arts and currently reside in Fairlawn Virginia.
